Hiking paths in the region of Leibnitz, Wagna, Seggauberg

you need about 3,5 hours
You start at the main square in Leibnitz and walk through the Rudolf Hans Bartschgasse to the bridge of the river Sulm, turn left and walk on in direction „The way of the Cross“, upwards to the Schlosskeller  – (checkpoint), the way leads you down to the iron footbridge to the Sulm Lake – then turn left and cross the Sulm Bridge and follow the river to the “Müller Kreuz”, pass by the Three Ponds and you reach Schönegg, where you move on in direction to Rettenbach- now go on amd take the path number 11. Right after the wine-tavern Baumann-Pommer (checkpoint) turn right to Aflenz, cross the bridge and move into the Silberwald on the left. You see the Chapel of Altenmarkt here and you take the right side to come back to Leibnitz again.

You start at the main square in Leibnitz and walk through the Rudolf Hans Bartschgasse to the bridge of the river Sulm, turn left and walk on in direction „The way of the Cross“, upwards to the Schlosskeller– (checkpoint), the way leads you down to the iron footbridge to the Sulm Lake, next is the technical college for viticulture in Silberberg (you have the chance to visit the Adventure wine path) – you walk on in direction Kittenberg to the Lorber Chapel (here you have a wonderful view to the Koralm – |the mountains between Styria and Carinthia| you move on to the wine-tavern Kratzer (checkpoint) then you walk on to Muggenau, you join the Pernitschkogel in direction to Heimschuh. Cross the road to the river Sulm and pass by the Müller-Kreuz in direction to Seggau. You find your way from the Schlosskeller along the Way of Cross to the Sulm Bridge back to Leibnitz.

You start at the main square in Leibnitz and walk through the Rudolf Hans Bartschgasse to the bridge of the river Sulm, turn left and walk on in direction „The way of the Cross“, upwards to the Schlosskeller – (checkpoint), go on this Way of Cross to Frauenberg (you have the chance to visit the pilgrimage church and the temple museum). Walk on to the restaurant Hasenwirt (checkpoint), to the Müller-Kreuz – turn left to the Three Ponds through a wonderful wood to Schönegg - Rettenbach, where you turn right, pass by the farm Knilli where you come to the Oberlupitscheni Graben, move on to the wine-tavern Holzer-Raab (checkpoint), go on in direction Brennerstock, turn left again to Aflenz and keep the direction to Altenmarkt in order to come back to Leibnitz.

you need about 4,5 to 5 hours
You start at the main square in Leibnitz and walk through the Rudolf Hans Bartschgasse to the bridge of the river Sulm, turn left and walk on in direction „The way of the Cross“, upwards to the Schlosskeller – (checkpoint), the way leads you down to the iron footbridge to the Sulm Lake – then turn left and cross the Sulm Bridge and follow the river to the “Müller Kreuz”, pass by the Three Ponds and you reach Schönegg, now turn right to the wine tavern Mariandl “Hexenhäusl” (checkpoint), move on to the Wicken-Cross, turn left to the Oberlupitscheni Graben, go on to the Knilli farm to Rettenbach where you find the wine-tavern Bernhard (checkpoint). From here you walk along the River Sulm to Altenmarkt, pass by the Villa Hollerbrand and turn right, cross the Sulm Bridge and reach Leibnitz again.

You start at the main square in Leibnitz and walk through the Rudolf Hans Bartschgasse to the Ledererbach Bridge, turn right into the Sulm park along the river to the ancient farm museum Grottenhof, move on to Hotel Restaurant Staribacher (checkpoint), pass by the wine-tavern Schuller on the right side to the Chapel Annabründl, then you go on to the Kainberg, turn left to Haselbrunn in direction to the wine-tavern Kieslinger (checkpoint), then you reach the Kreuzkogel (496m) with
a wonderful outlook and view, you go on in direction technical college Silberberg (Adventure wine path) to the Sulm Lake, cross the iron footbridge to the Schlosskeller and return along the Way of Cross and Sulm Bridge to Leibnitz.

you need about 4 to 4,5 hours
You start at the main square in Leibnitz and walk through the Rudolf Hans Bartschgasse to the Ledererbach Bridge, you
find your way along the cycling path R 6 to the ancient farm museum Grottenhof, turn right then and walk over the Wieberg to Tillmitsch, go along the Altenberger Street and then turn right to Grössing. You move on to the “5 Turm Schlössl” and you walk from Altenberg to Kittenberg and pass by the technical college in Silberberg. You come to the iron footbridge to the Schlosskeller (checkpoint) - then take the “Way of Cross” back to Leibnitz.
