A klopotec is a wooden mechanical device on a high wooden pole, similar to a windmill. It is used as a scarecrow and is an indispensable part of the idyllic wine-growing landscapes of Austria
You find the world´ s highest  “Klapotetz“ in the community of St. Andrä Höch. Height 16m, striking mechanism 3,4 tons, oak trunk 2,6 tons, one hammer 40 kilos, the klapotec consists of acacia, cherry and fir wood.
Hint: Don´ t forget the camera- wonderful panorama 

In this southern Styrian part not only wine growing is important. If you want to get to know more about hop and the hop-bines, the usage and its origin you should visit Family Stelzl in Leutschach.
Hint: It is most interesting to visit during harvest times from mid August to the beginning of September.

This old corn mill belongs to Family Muster in Schloßberg and shows the miller ´s working conditions in the good old days.
Hint: Pumpkin seed oil and nibbling cores are offered here. 

The 1.5  km long path leads you through the steepest vineyards in southern Styria.
There are 18 charts with pictures and many tools from ancient times which show the history of Styrian wine growing. Free entrance!
Hint: If you ever wanted to see a vine louse – this is the right place:  - Ewald Stani produced a vine louse on a scale of 1: 1 milliard 

Walk along the brook (about 3 km) of Heiligen Geist. At the end of the way you reach a plateau at the border to Slovenia. Some minutes walk away you find the well known church of pilgrimage Sveti Duh/Heiligen Geist.
Hint: By all means you need good hiking equipment and shoes! 

At the inn "Wuggaubartl" run by family Tinnacher (phone 03455/349) in Wuggau you find a special place for open air bowling. Get surprised!
Hint: This is the best way having a funny afternoon or evening.
